At the beginning I thought it was just a coincidence, after all I have just arrived in the city. But as the days go by I came to realize this is the way things are: People in Buenos Aires are still madly in love with 80's music.

As I freelance and work out of coffee shops and restaurants, 80s music is always pouring out of the speakers.

Have y'all noticed it too?

no more than all the construction workers in the US who listen to "classic rock" all day.
plenty of very modern music being played and listened to in BsAs.
check out any friday or saturday night at Matienzo.

This French hit from the 80's is often heard here (like 80% of the times it's a French song... odd)

Below is the Spanish version of that song -and to say that it's pretty bad is a compliment. Understandable they play the original.

Love the original french video.

I've been listening to http://www.radioparadise.com/ mostly. Although they have played a bit too much country music lately.

I prefer http://www.kpig.com/ and there's no such thing as too much country music:

Radio Paradise is great! Discovered it in like, 2005 or so. I agree though, when they get on a really folksy bender I (usually) have to load up something else.
