I Want An Audi Please

Hey , he used dollars and changed at the blue rate. Great deal. It's his money , he can do what he wants. If he is not concerned with public opinion , so be it. A Renault Clio would have been a better choice..... at the blue rate it is only US$6000.00

Where else can a civil servant buy his daughter a 2013
imported Audi in a country with an exchange rate twice the official and duties making imported cars cost twice the sticker?

Brazil, of course!!!!

What sticks in the craw with most sane people here is yet another example of government employees sticking the finger up at the rest of us.

I think in general you should not give your children a fancy and expensive car as their first car. A safe, inexpensive used car should be the first car. Reason one: Kids should learn that they have to earn money to get a nicer car. Reason two: it is not uncommon that you have little fender benders when you start driving - why ruin a fancy car?

Why shouldn't the kid work and save to buy his or her own car?

Poor little rich kids, my heart bleeds.
This was my first car. Paid fifty quid, it was falling to bits, but at least it was mine and I paid for it.
