ICE is finally here. If you’re not a white European, please carry your DNI and passport with you at all times.

Now it's very clear why we keep insisting in calling ourselves ''expats'' , we don't want to be taken for an ''immigrant'', funny enough i looked for the expat office and all i found was the immigration office because that's what we are and will always be.
The question i ask myself is, what is the problem of having your immigration affairs in order? those paper exist for the sole reason that one day you might need to present them to the local authorities.
I believe that all this butt hurting is due to fact that for many years many ''expats'' abused the benefits of a country that had no control over its immigration and kept doing the uruguay runs, which we all know is not illegal but it was never the fundation of that law to be in place.
So, for those ''expats'' that laughed at the advantage they could take in a country that asked very little when it came to immigration processing, you, the '' above the law'' expats, you might wanna get your shit in order because maybe this time, this gov' might make you obey the law.
You can just Google up what each words mean. It's expats because people don't tend to immigrate, assimilate, and settle here permanently, mostly because their home country passport is much better than Argentine one. They always have one foot out the door just in case life in Argentina doesn't work out. Even the dumbest Americans and Australians on this forum will never be giving up their passport in favor of an Argentine one.

I'm not sure about Australia, but that is not a choice any American would have to make, at least for now/not yet.

I would never give up my US passport just to get an Argentine passport, if that meant giving up my US citizenship,

In any case, I doubt it will ever be an issue for me as I have no plans to ever use a passport again.

What do you mean who made these laws? Whoever did them! That’s the law. You think they’d make laws in line with your expectations?!
You need to learn some self-respect as well to respect the others. First Law exist doesn't mean its right, there is Constitution sitting above all the laws in Argentina, and DNU does not equal to the law, Milei is abusing it, pretending it as if it is the law. Certainly you don't understand what is law and what is executive power abuse.
