In Memoriam, Charlie Hebdo

Looks like the Charlie Hebdo suspects are dead and hostages have been released...

Video of the French police in action, right before storming the market. I don;t know about you, but after watching this video, I think I would trust the boys from the gendarmerie more than these guys. It might be a miracle that only 4 hostages died during the "rescue".

Its a pitty the terrorists are dead now. They didnt deserve it, nobody does. This situation is exactly the argument for death penalty. What a pitty. :(

That's what we say in France (although the guys from the police squad, the RAID, are great too).

Here the GIGN (Gendarmerie = military) assault on a plane (4 terrorists, +100 hostages). Terrorists wanted to crash the plane into the Eiffel tower (7 years before 911...).
No hostage was killed during the assault.

The guy talking is the first one who entered the plane: killed 3 of the 4 terrorists, got heavily wounded (lost the use of his right arm). This guy is so humble, anti-hero, etc. Kind of guy you would really like to dring a beer with!

Here the RAID assault (police) to get/kill Mohamed Merah (just audio). This operation was heavily criticized (many wounded in the RAID forces). I have beehives and I wonder why they wouldn't simply throw in 2 or 3 beehives (150.000 angry bees are a terrible thing, even Chuck Norris would cry as a sissy).

But there are soldiers even more dangerous than the GIGN, that's the 11th Choc Para (French elite troop that inspired the US to create the Green berets). 11th Choc Para is usually in charge of undercover foreign operations. Not much is known about them. It's even said that some of them look very ordinary guys (like with long hair, etc.).
In Ouvéa, an independandist group had killed Gendarmes (military) and taken hostages some of them. 11th Choc Para was killed in... Was quite bloody (was quite controversial, supposedly the executed some of the hostage takers...
Here a movie of the assault => https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axKTWu7SMkQ

?? I'm 100% against the death penalty but what are you talking about? The two brothers had already coldly murdered civilians, had an RPG, AK-47s, etc.?

They manage to kill both while the hostage was freed unwounded... Very nice job as usual from the GIGN

Sunday 01/11 in front of the French embassy, 12:30-13:30, gathering for Freedom (even non French invited, it's a worldwide problem)

why did they kill them? couldnt they just caught them? situations like this make everybody wanting the death penalty to these guys, turning us all in murderers. I say they did not deserve death. If you think they must have killed them, then is like supporting death penalty. This is the kind of situations that fit perfectly to the right's speeches

Nobody who is apprehended and under custody deserves to die. If you are holding a gun and threatening to kill somebody else, you are fair game. That is called legitimate defense. As long as you are a threat to someone else's life, the police has the legal right to kill you. That changes once you surrender or get arrested.

Not many leaders in Islamic countries have condemned publicly the Charlie Hebdo, massacre..? Maybe because of Fear!!
