Perhaps while reading this at least half of your house is full of water right now, but still, from a comfortable distance I have to admit there's always something to miss about Buenos Aires! I just found this blog post (castellano) and I have to say some of these examples are food for thought.

Jeez. Was this written by a Porteña?

Hahaha! Give me 10 minutes and I could come up with 1000 great things that exist in París that don't exist in BsAs.

Couldn't care less about Paris, but I really miss the ice cream at Cadore and Jauja, among other things in Buenos Aires.

Short bio (right hand side of article) says she has dual nationality but yeah sounds like more Porteña given it says she moved from here to Paris to study. She talks up the blue skies down here, wonder if she was down here today...

Je me taperais bien une journaliste. Ça doit pas être mal, une journaliste?

She also linked to a French movie that sounds interesting (couldn't find English subtitles)

I do find the skies here pretty amazing as well as the sunset/sunrises. Despite the unpleasant damp winters here, it's usually sunny which makes such a difference.

I like the winters in BA in comparison to most of Europe, mostly because of the sun and the skies. The cold wind is a bit unpleasant, though, but fortunately it is not being accompanied by the constant grey skies type of depression as in other countries. I like the change from the typical hot weather during the summer, I generally do not really appreciate humid tropical climates that are the same all-year round.

Was counting on you to spot that old movie quote. :)
