International Divorce Process

Yes I don't believe the divorce where you got married is necessarily true -- ie in my sister's South African fiasco, she got married in Cape Town but filed for divorce in Canada

You have to divorce where you got married. Obviously he got married here.

Not entirely true, but you do reaffirm the point I made already.

Marriage in US/Divorce in US is recognized in Argentina and vice-versa.

Argentina does not recognize the legality of a US marriage when it comes to inheritance, community property, etc. The marriage must be certified by the Argentine court.

That's not true for US law. You can get a divorce in US no matter where you got married.

Yes, but where you want to divorce is here because a.) you don't have equal rights marriage in the US b.) the legal consequenses you want to finish are related ti the AR law. The responsabilities are huge. If your spounse has health issues, and you don't take care, and he dies, you have almost the same time in jail than for murder. So, trust me, you married here, you want to divorce here.
