Internet Cards or Cable/DSL Internet?

Thanks to all who have posted which Cable/DSL Internet company is better, but I have some Argentine friends that say I should just buy an Internet Card that I can just plug into my laptop and awayyyy we go...has anyone done this and if so, which are some good brands? Thanks so much to everyone.

They are like USB pen drives by Claro, Personal and Movistar. They work on the 3G service and quality depends on coverage by the provider.
I don't use one but I know people who do and they seem happy with them, although I'm not sure if you need a contract or if it's a top up system.
I heard $120 per month also (pesos).
