Introduction/Looking for Grade Schools

We just arrived last week from Portland, Oregon and are happy to be here! (We're lucky because my brother has been living here for awhile, so we have had a good intro.--the Guia "T", the bus system, the coin shortage, etc. etc.)

Anyway, we are currently starting the search for a suitable grade school for our girls (age 7 and 9), any feedback on elementary schools would be appreciated (no suburban locations--we want the girls to go to school in the city and want to live somewhere nearby).

What kind of school are you looking for? Catholic?

Not necessarily Catholic. I would prefer to avoid the schools that are targeted almost exclusively to expats. We wouldn't mind a bilingual English/Spanish school. Other than that, we want a nice environment where our kids can learn! We noticed there are a lot of schools in Belgrano. Any thoughts?
