is babysitting or nannying really that employerable?

It is suprising the number of babysitting or nanny positions i see . Do people in BA really hire that many foreigners to babysit their childern?

I asked a couple of bank executives who I teach about English speaking babysitters. They said that there wasn't really a market for it because many people:

1) Don't want to trust their kids to someone they don't know.
2) Can pay AR$6-AR$10/hr to have their domestic helper watch the kids. (Most are "foreign", but that's all I'll say.)

Also couples who are mixed Argentine-British/American etc...
