Is the Milei "Transformation" Failing Already?

Question ? If established businesses in Argentina are not willing to invest and expand their operations? Will newcomers be willing to risk and invest in Argentina? Under the current conditions. Only genuine investments by the Private Sector generates quality jobs....!

Milei Meeting with Spanish businesses like Santander, Telecom, etc Will generate new investments. ?

(above quote edited for brevity)

/me stares in amazement
Seriously? You really believe that?
Of course. It’s proven to work by the likes of Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher, etc Now, that doesn’t mean that adjustments will not be required by other governments in the future as they were with Reagan and Thatcher or that mistakes will not be made but no doubt at this point in time Argentina needs Milei policies. The alternative is a return to the decades of incompetence and failure by the Ks and Alberto. That why Milei won the election. The people want his changes and don’t want more of the disastrous polices of the Ks. Let him get on with it and support him. That’s what’s best for Argentina and the people albeit not so good the USD rich expats.

Deregulation and privatization will boost efficiency and job creation. Dollarizing the economy helps to stabilize prices in pesos and reduce inflation, fostering a more secure environment for investments and job security and costa of living for locals. (Not so good for expats though who prefer low prices in USD while the majority in Argentina live with 300% inflation and poverty) in addition trade liberalisation will open up larger markets for businesses, enhancing job opportunities. Overall, these measures will create more jobs and improve living standards for the working classes. Of course no economic plan is without risk and these include in the short term increased inequality, potential job losses from privatization, economic instability from dollarization, and challenges in rapid deregulation. But we need to keep the focus on the longer term improvements. Nothing is free and there is a cost involved in these necessary changes. Juts look at the mess before Milei arrived and consider the effects of that for the Argentina people long term. (Not USD rich expats who benefitted under the Ks and Alberto policies)
Deregulation did wonders for the US financial sector in the 80s and 00s.

Socialism is dead!

March was the fourth straight month with more government revenues than non-interest spending: In other words Milei, who was inaugurated in December, has produced a government budget surplus every month since taking over”

Exports increased by 26% in the last quarter! And people just talking without realising or seeing the obvious!

No kidding. If you shut down half the government without caring about the impact on the people those departments serve, and fire tens of thousands of government workers without concern as to how they’ll feed their families - turns out you can save loads of cash. Milei is a genius!!!!

Wake me up when he figures out how to save money without ruining lives.

The CABA income stats out today show that the middle class sector has shrunk from 49% right down to 37% (!), while extreme poverty has gone from 8% to 15% and poverty from 13% to 19%, levels not seen in twenty years. Maybe you should quote those stats. (Hint: this has occurred because of all the budget slashing you’re so excited about. But anyway “socialism is dead” and that’s totally more important.)
