After doing some housework chores this morning (the wife's a slave driver) I've got another one to add to the list. Every plastic dustpan we've got is faulty. Either the handle works loose or they fall over when placed standing on the ground resulting in the sweepings going all over my clean floor.

Could all be my fault right enough.

this is why I purchased a nice metal dustpan.
cheap, sturdy, at the chino.

but a piece of newspaper works just as well.
wet one edge under the tap, it will stick to the floor, and you can then sweep into it, fold it up, and toss it in the bin.
