I guess the next question for me is WHERE will I find the best (as in great food at a good price) FRENCH and GERMAN ? Ideally the sort of place where two or three can get a meal and a dessert of some sort and bottle of red without going outside the 50 to 200 peso price range (and yes, I mean in total - not per person - and yes, I am that cheap

Thank god the going rate for a mixed drink in zona norte is about half then in Las Canitas.

I think it's pretty hard to spend more then 200-300 peso a night, there is so much you can drink and eat.
