A couple of months ago I wrote a rant about all the charges Movistar was dinging me with. That ended happily for me. I complained incessantly on their website. They actually called me and the lady was polite and was really patient with my fractured Castellano. After that the charges stopped.
In addition several of us have posted about the poor quality of Movistar internet. I'm now thinking that it is more a problem with my phone. My internet has been down most of the last week which is a nightmare for me because I have a lot of content I need to release for what some are calling my Telenovela Production. Anyways I tried using my phone as a WiFi hotspot and tethering my notebook to Movistar internet and it works very well - kudos to Movistar.
Recommendations: set your browser to not display images.The performance is good until a certain limit 500mb? Then it slows to a snail pace - so turn off images, no youtube and definitely no porn.
