Labor Relations in Argentina

Your sister in law is entering a "rock star" profession, one in which a few people enjoy weath and fame, some make a decent living without the glamor, and many people work for low/no pay or leave. I also work in one, film (music, the arts, are others). If she wants to become a chef, she has a hard road ahead of her. I suggest she finds a chef or cook who is 15 years older than her and befriend that person. It should be someone who works, not teaches. She should ask this person, not you or her school, for practical advice, even if it is just a phone call per month. This can be a lifesaver. The filmmakers I met (in person and on internet forums) have been INVALUABLE for telling me what to charge, when to NOT accept a job, how to deal with a rough client, etc.
Being in Argnetina a few years, if someone stops paying you, you should quit that day, they almost never pay you what you are owed.
