"Boludo" is still the most difficult slang word for me to understand the usage. It's sometimes friendly, sometimes offensive and certainly requires expertise. My wife hates to hear me cuss in spanish and swears they are "stronger" than English curse words

i started studying in argentina and ended up with a colombian wife. i believe medellin is pretty nuetral with a slite argentine accent. the pronounce medellin like an argentine not a mexican. find someone that you can converse with and have a glass of wine. if you know the language just act like a baby and speak. thats what i did
