Looks like a nice place, being so far south I bet the temps are cooler, which is what we are looking for, the summers where we live in AU run from October through to April with many over 40C/104F - 48C/118F...absolutely done with the heatstroke inducing climes, many people retire to SE Asia only later to realize it's sweatbox city & the day's activities revolve around seeking out AC premises most of the time.

The climate in Bariloche is specific to that location, close to the mountains, and I think often more influenced by the Pacific than, as is the case with most of the rest of Argentina, by the Atlantic.

Locations at a similar latitude on the coast will be warmer in summer, and have (much) higher humidity.

If your filter is pointing toward Bariloche, go for it, it's expensive, touristy, inconvenient to get to, but it's very nice. Even better if you like skiing (residents get discounts). A colleague moved out there a few years ago and shows no signs of coming back.

An area within the Sierras de Córdoba might be a good option. Mountain scenery, mild climate, and central location in Argentina

Córdoba is famous for its spectacular storms, though. Supposedly some of the strongest in the world (I had a link but can't find it now).

I like watching storms from a distance though hoping Cordoba is not the Tornado Alley of AR?

That is certainly a very wild account of those storms, the area does look beautiful...but those storms

I personally love the summer storms in Cordoba. As long as you have a covered drive way for hail and roof that's not chapa you should be fine. It does get very hot in the summer though. If you are looking for mix of city/nature in the mild temps, have a look at Neuquen capital. 4-5 hours from either the beach or the Andes. A bit like Denver, without the precipitation.
