I was just in the process of trying to get a US-based life insurance policy and was just told that Argentina is one of a handful of countries that forbids foreign insurers from selling life insurance products to residents of Argentina. (Japan and France also do this.) So, looks like I may be out of luck on that front.
Does anyone have a US-based policy? Do they know you live in Argentina?
Is there life insurance policies in Argentina? Any idea on costs and/or reliability? It's something I'd probably prefer not to do, but might be a short-term option...
