Looking for a Nanny, mid June

Dear Forum members,

Being new to this forum we hope somebody is able to point us in the right direction.

We are moving to BA to help the company we work with open up. Arriving mid June, leaving mid January 2012 (interrupted by 1 month in the States).

We are the parents of two beautiful little girls; 5 and 7 years of age. During our time in Buenos Aires we are looking for a more-less full-time nanny as well as for a way for the girls to continue their schooling. Maybe it is possible to find a nanny that is bilingual and able to look after home schooling as well? We are looking for somebody trustworthy and reliable. As you can imagine the girls safety is the most important to us. Even though we work from home, we will be out a lot for meetings.

Maybe one of the forum members is able to tell us what the expected salary is for a Nanny. Per hour and/or live-in.

We are looking forward to learn Spanish as well as social and business etiquettes of Buenos Aires.

Hola! I am a 27 year old American and I just moved to Buenos Aires with my husband. In January, I completed my Masters in Education and California Teaching Credential for elementary education. Since I arrived, I have been doing hotel sales, but I am considering finding a job in education working with children. Being a nanny and home school teacher sounds like it could be a great fit. I have grown up babysitting and during the past two years while I was getting my masters and teaching credential, I nannied full time. I have plenty of references that I would be happy to provide. I also speak Spanish (beyond conversational but not completely fluent). I would be interested in speaking with you to find out exactly what you have in mind, and how much you think this position will pay.

I'm a 21 year old American who will be here from August until the end of December. I have nine months of overseas professional nannying experience. Last year I spent nine months in Paris watching four children (ages 10, 7, 4, and 2) as well as babysitting for another family on the side with two children (one four and one 10 months). Linguistics is my passion that has driven me to learn French, Filipino, and now Spanish. In a month or so I will be TEFL certified and I am a very patient and thorough teacher. I have been involved and studying art almost my whole life and would be happy to give lessons or teach your children. While I my schedule may be too tight to nanny full time, I am always available to work part-time or fulfill any odd hours you need worked if you can't find someone for what's needed.
