Thought it was about time I paid some attention to the local music scene as apart from Abel Pinto and Diego Torres which my Spanish teacher keeps recommending i listen too but I hate with a passion, I dont have a clue about Argentine bands, can anyone give some suggestions more to my taste?

To give you a rough idea of the general mainstream music i like (i actually prefer house, trance, etc) but bands i listen too are:
Kasabian
Oasis
Coldplay
Keane
Kings of Leon
Stereophonics

So any suggestions of any Argentine bands?

Thanks

Les Mentettes - They sing in English, so if you're looking for Spanish vocals you'll have to look elsewhere.

107Faunos - indie rock

Bahia Inutil - Chilean group
https://soundcloud.com/bahiainutil

La Bombachita - Drumming + instruments, big group
Fun live. They're harder to google thanks to an underwear shop by the same name, but here's a sample:

Soda Stereo (80s/90s) and then the independent work of Gustavo Ceruti

Thanks . Really want something in Spanish to help with my spanish. Also anything with accordions , maracas, tango related or kumbia/cumbia? is a no goer with me i`m afraid. Trumpets are bearable in moderation. So thats probably 80% of Latin music not to my taste haha

Been through all the links but so far i`ve only discovered these by accident.

La Vela Puerca - but Uruguyan not Argentine.
Jennsa - Sigo Buscandote

Any other ideas?
