Looking For Argentine Bands Recommendations

I think that your spanish teacher is trying to motivate you to sing (and talk in Spanish). Perhaps watching videos or listening to short, funny stories also may help.

The lyrics are written with "permissions" to break grammar rules, and it can get you a little bit confused.

The best is to have the need to listen and talk in Spanish, practising your grammar skills and improving your vocabulary, "live", with argentinians.

Thanks , yes I agree. But this is more of an exercise I can do when I`m sat in front of the computer or driving and listening to music.

There are few bands singing disney songs in spanish under the rythm of cumbia. I think it is a good idea to help you, as you know or remember the stories, but in english.

Disney songs under the rythmn of cumbia!? Do they have some accordians and maracas in there aswell. Sorry its just that in an earlier post I said anything but cumbia. I detest it.

Not Argentino (Uruguayo I think) but Jorge Drexler is performing in Bs.As on May 30th. Thinking of checking it out! If anyone fancies coming along let me know :)

haven't read the whole thread but wanted to share a few great artists/bands I've discovered very recently that are more on the indie/experimental side of the house rather than the more typical argentine rock. they all sing in english so won't be much help with your spanish if that's what you're looking for, but this is the type of music i was listening to lots of in the US and didnt think existed here:
