Looking for recommendations for best private hospital for a quick visit, in Palermo.

Hospital Alemán, IADT and Sanatorio Otamendi are good options.

For infectious bacteria, Centro Stamboulian is a specialized center in Infectious Diseases. The Barrio Norte headquarters on French Street handles emergencies (without an appointment) but I recommend Dr. Francisco Nacinovich, one of the best infectious disease specialists in the city (he works there by appointment, and also at the ICBA in Belgrano).

Thank you to everyone for your recommendations. And particularly for the recommendation for that specific pharmacy. They were able to refill my prescription with me simply showing the old prescription bottle, and gave me a 2-week supply which more than covers the remainder of my stay here. And it was not necessary for me to go to the hospital which saved me a lot of money. So thank you very much and I highly recommend that pharmacy it's excellent.

Yes exactly that pharmacy. Thank you very much for the recommendation. I should have specified that it was exactly the pharmacy you recommended. They are very helpful and kind.

The Pharmacy name was changed a while ago to FarmaPlus. I hadn't noticed it.

Similar question (quick appointment in Palermo) but we're just looking to weigh our baby. I'll look into the suggestions mentioned here, but if anyone has advice on others and/or clarification on whether these suggestions apply to pediatrics, please let me know. Thanks :)

There was a thread that was quite dated recommending La Trinidad, but it was from 2011. I did go there once probably 2014 or 2015, and my experience was good. I saw a doctor quickly and they dealt with the matter. More recently since I bought an apartment in Palermo Hollywood, I've been going to Swiss Medical/Los Arcos on Juan B. Justo, as it's around the corner from my apartment basically. Although I do find the lineups there considerably longer, and perhaps the attention not quite as good from the doctors. It's not a serious issue, I'm just looking for two prescriptions, one for bacterial infection which I think is MRSA resistant. And another minor matter I wanted attended to before I return to Canada. I leave at the end of the month as my 90-day visa expires on February 29th exactly. Thanks for any recommendations that can be forwarded. Happy to pay out of pocket, as these aren't significant issues. Speed of attention is probably my most important factor. Thanks again for any recommendations.
When traveling, or living in a city that has one, best to look for a "JCI" hospital. There are three in Buenos Aires...including Hospital Aleman. For a traveler, it is a no brainer.

Does anyone here know if Hospital Italiano also takes "demanda espontaneas", and if so, is it a 24-hour service or is it only at certain business hours?

Iadt is one of the best health care centers with 24 hours service.

Thank you Rich! Is late service on a weekend only reserved for urgent matters, if you happen to know? For me personally, I simply want to check on some extremely mild ear pain (more of a nuisance) and hell it may simply be a matter of removing earwax!
