They are doing exactly the same as liberals have done in the past and we’ll see exactly the same pendular swing back to Peronism when it breaks down. Going further back in history, it is easy to see this government's policies as the latest round in the battle between liberalism and nationalism that has dogged Argentina since the country acquired its independence from Spain at the beginning of the 19th century.
