Marketing Manager position

Greenback Expat Tax Services is looking for a contract Marketing Manager to join our team on a long-term part-time (25-30 hours per week) basis.
Overall job responsibilities:
· Management of day to day marketing activity for small business, including both new and existing customer management.
· Acts as a brand advocate ensuring consistent and high quality marketing materials, including website, advertising and written materials
· Responsible for executing against aggressive growth marketing plan, including but not limited to the following channels:
o Oversee sales activity- responsible for conversion metrics and email marketing to prospects to include lead generation and conversion (actual day to day sales done by sales and partnerships manager)
o Oversee new partnerships/affiliates development and management of existing partnerships (actual day to day work done by sales and partnerships manager)
o Search engine optimization- includes management and execution against content plan to ensure high quality content. This includes on site, off site, content distribution, link building, keyword research, etc
o Management of social media initiatives (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google plus, YouTube)- via marketing Administrative Assistant
o Public Relations experience
o Email marketing (newsletters, as well as prospect, customer and leads emails)- with support from marketing admin assistant
o Google Adwords
· Management of existing customer relationship management, including email marketing, resources and tools for existing customers, customer sat survey, continuous improvement program, etc. (via marketing Administrative Assistant)
· Website management (day to day done by marketing Administrative Assistant)
· People management: Manage 2-3 team members consisting of a Graphic Designer, Sales and Partnerships Manager and Marketing Administrative Assistant. Also act as day to day liaison and management of any freelance team members we bring in on a project basis (ex: freelance writers or consultants, on occasion)
· Responsible for tracking and keeping within agreed marketing budget and agreed cost per customer
· Day to day management of our customer relationship management system. You will be expected to not only understand the CRM system but act as its advocate, improving how we use the system and troubleshooting system issues.
· Testing, tracking, measuring and improving marketing activities
Required skills:
· The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude and a desire for a demanding but exciting role helping grow a small business where you can truly make a difference.
· 5+ years working in marketing environment
· Natural leader- Ability to work well in a team and to manage and motivate others, ability to adapt his/her communication skills appropriately to work with different people all virtually
· Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple demands, without missing a beat. This is a fast paced team with high ambitions and goals. Ideal candidate must be comfortable working at pace and be extraordinarily well organized.
· Attention to detail- someone who is fanatical about detail, never missing a comma or a typo and always ensuring that any projects he/she works on are delivered ready to go, with no errors, omissions or issues
· Excellent writing skills
· Quantitative skills- will need to measure and manage all activity, including both setting up methods to track and measure all activity but also to determine success of channels
· Curious mind/Quick learner- you’ll need to learn about our business and our area of specialty on the job.
· Our team is spread across the world- you’ll work from home- so you need to be able to structure and motivate yourself outside of the confines of an office environment. We’ll be particularly interested in examples/proof that you can handle this (lots of people think they can, but find that it’s not for them in the end!)
· Customer focus- be able to visualize the prospect/customer, think like them, listen to them and understand what they want and how we can help.
· Extensive experience and comfort with technology- you’ll be using a CRM system for all of your work, and you need to embrace it, learn it, etc.
