I'm wondering why so many cars had their headlights on this morning at 10:30? It's a beautiful sunny day.

Cars are supposed to have their lights on at all times here, that's what my local boyfriend says anyway...

Theory ... they came from the freeway...or were parked underground  or they are Golpistas-

It's the law and it exist for a very good reason. Cars with headlights are far more visible than ones without.

I have never noticed so many cars with their headlights on during the day. I thought that maybe they were making a political statement

It is a stupid traffic law, it is called DLR (day time running light) It used to be mandatory here in the US but no longer.
My friend whom travelled all over SA with his own vehicle and once entered Argentina then getting to enter greater Bs As
was ambushed by a few Cops for traffic infraction for not having the DLR on so he was ticketed big time but they settled
for a Benjamin note !

it´s one of the few argentine traffic laws that makes sense. it remarkable the difference it makes on how fast your brain can detect and distinguish cars and their distance from you compared to cars with their lights off. new cars have 2 small led lights always on when the engine is running
