Hey everyone!

My boyfriend and I are trying to decide which medical plan we will sign on to and have narrowed it down to Swiss Medical and Hospital Aleman. I have personally dealt with Aleman when i first arrived and had great service and an english speaking doctor but Swiss looks like they might be good as well and they also have more locations.

Has anyone on here dealt with either of the places? Any recommendations?
If you have had any good or bad experiences with either of them please share!

Personally no experience with either if the two entities (we have OSDE, which i have heard is better than Swiss medical, but I think that's open to debate, depends on level of plan etc.) However if you do a search on here (be sure to click on the 'all forums' option when searching) you'll see that there's been a lot of discussion relatively recently about the plans. Hospital Altman is very good, my only issue would be to find out whether they have doctors that can see you elsewhere, ie if you move barrios it can be a pain to have to travel across the city for an appt.

If I had to choose between Swiss and Aleman I would definitely choose Swiss. But I had a bad experience with a gynecologist at Aleman, very archaic, machista thinking. Also as you mentioned, a lot more locations. I personally have Swiss Medical now and love it, have great doctors. But as syngirl said I have also heard OSDE is better, so maybe compare those 2.

If you get a good Medicus or OSDE plan, you have access to Suizo Argentina and Hospital Aleman facilities and doctors.
