Go to the Little Paris of Argentina, and that's Recoleta. Its a wonderful place ever. Hotels in the area can be pricey, but budget options can be found.

You can try this very nice "tangotel" in Belgrano, near Cabildo Av.
They have large apts for rent on a daily basis. All apts have fridge, oven, cable TV,etc.,( plus a free tango class included in the deal).
They have a free airport pickup service, plus other services.
