Netflix's Fight Against Vpns

If you cannot change the DNS on your TV, you may be able to on your WiFi router and get the same result.

Did you try to connect via wire for the configuration? Most routers only allow to config them wired. If that doesn't work and the modem is provided by fibertel, it's likely they prevent it on purpose, but you might google how to bypass that (it's dependent on the provider and modem/router model).

They lock you out of the configuration. The only way to do it is reset it to factory default and reconfigure. I have not been brave enough to try this yet.

Let me know if you do it...

With a SmartTV, the simplest solution is a DNS changer. I use UnoTelly. You'd have to check and see if the Sony TV lets you change the DNS settings (most devices do). This is really the simplest way.

If you cannot change the DNS on your TV, you may be able to on your WiFi router and get the same result.

Thanks, Sleuth. I'll have a friend help me out with this or perhaps adfreetime.

If you call fibertell theyll happily put the modem router in bridge mode turning it into just a regular modem allowing you to use your own router. I have a Cisco small business Vpn router that I got for 500 pesos on mercadolibre that works great for my needs.

I use media player to put movies on my iphone, so I assume it's available via the Ipad. I also understand VLC is now available for the Ipad as well. This will allow you to download movies in just about any format on your PC/laptop, and then without converting the file, just follow the directions on the app and upload the video to the app on your Ipad/iphone, and then view it from the app itself. VLC and Mediaplayer are free; there are also other options.

Does anyone know how to get a VPN to work on Chromecast?

a dns one is simple, block 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 on your router and chromecast will default back to your routers dns.

some more complex instructions here
