New rentista requirements: 2000 usd per person

The mentioned document establishes the minimum amount to qualify as rentista or pensionado as "cinco salarios minimos vitales y moviles". If one salario minimo vital y movil, as of April 1st, 2023 is $87.987 pesos, then, right now, five minimum salaries would be $439,935 pesos. You are right that if we use the official exchange rate that would mean US$2,000, but do people do that? If you receive a transfer in pesos, or convert from dollar blue it would be a little over $900 dollars.
FYI for anyone reading this, as of September first, 2024, the monthly salario mínimo will be $268.056,50 pesos.

Sure, but the house holder has to show a passive income of over 1000 use per family member.
That doesn't make any sense as it is the same as x5 per person.
I've heard it is per houshold, which means it is $1378 combined, not per person.
Is there a different definition of household in migraciones?

Sure, but the house holder has to show a passive income of over 1000 use per family member.
So, does this mean that the monthly passive income reqirement of five salarios mínimos (which will be $271.571,22 x 5 = $1,357.856 pesos as of October 1) for both the visa rentista and the visa pensionada applies to each and every family member, including minor dependents?

Yes. This is what our immigration lawyers told us this week for the October tranche. But its not exactly the “ income requirement”. Its the minimum you must transfer. They dont care what your overseas income may be, as long as you transfer the minimum every month and you can prove, through, say, a SS letter from the US, that the monthly payment is more than the requirements once a year. They dont require monthly proof of income.

Yes it's per person, including dependents. An expensive option for large families!
