Peter Lamelas, the newly designated US Ambassador, a Cuban Exile, has infuriated many before even arriving to BA. Lamelas claims he's American by the grace of God, born Cuban. Cuban born Americans have prominent roles in Trump's government . Apparently from all the LATAM/Americans Cubans have reached to more top positions than say Mexicans, Colombians or Brazilians
The statement, comes a day after he attended a hearing about his diplomatic appointment to Argentina in the U.S. Senate.
At that hearing, Lamelas said that Argentina’s provincial governments “could negotiate with external forces, like the Chinese or others, to come in and do projects in that particular province, and that may also lend towards corruption on the part of the Chinese.” He promised to travel the country, meeting with provincial governors, as well as building relationships with the national government.
