Newcomers From Southern California

Well, there is some bad Mexican food in BA, but none whatsoever in Corrientes. There was once a decent Mexican place in Córdoba, but it went out of business.

They must have tamales in Corrientes. I've had them in Salta.

Of course, because they're Native American. They have them in Mexico as well as in Argentina.

I have had eaten all sorts of Tamales always appealed as the "authentic" of each and mostly Lat Am countries.
But the "best" tamales was the one tasted in Cuba and it was in a remote part of mountainous coffee plantation villas.
It had the "wild pig" meat in it and the Puree was a mix of corn flour with boiled then mashed green plantain all together.
A local African Cuban woman told me that this Tamale recipe was fisrst brought by the Africanos slaves arriving in galleons.
To date, still the best tasting Tamales ever eaten so far.!
