Nora Cortiñas, a Founder of Mothers of the Disappeared, Dies

Ms. Cortiñas led a quiet life until her son Carlos Gustavo suddenly disappeared on April 15, 1977. He studied economics at the University of Buenos Aires and was an activist in a left-leaning political group, which made him a target of the right-wing dictatorship that seized control of Argentina in 1976 in a coup.

Poor woman. I can't imagine what it is to lose a son, and much less not even know what happened to him, while those who know maintain Omerta and scheme among themselves in quiet retirement. I have little doubt that the alt-right will dance on her grave, led by our vice president who did the same to Hebe de Bonafini. "You are a horrible human being, Villarruel" was a comment at that time.
