I recall that banks must provide personal info to AFIP for any clients that pay a credit card bill of over 3000 pesos in a month. A couple of days ago I read where the private health insurance companies will be required to notify AFIP of any clients who pay more than 2000 pesos per month. This is to start in April or May. Apparently they are looking for people who pay big bills to see if they have reported income to match.

Anyone have any experience with these issues?

No issue as long as you declare your income and pay the appropriate taxes.

Under Argentine law, AFIP has the right to re-calculate your income based on your observed expenses plus estimated basic living costs. They can then charge you the difference between these "ingresos presuntos" and your actual income declaration and payments, plus interest and penalties.
