Obtaining Argentine citizenship

Bajo_cero is a highly respected citizenship lawyer active since 2008 on this matter. He is not the most likable man. I agree on that. But he gets the work done on citizenship matters. Most of the other active citizenship lawyers in 2026, copy and paste what he has done 10 yrs before on the subject and use his "juriprudence" to make the case of their client stronger. Bajo_cero continuously makes enemies cos of the way he handles matters in a BOLD way ; and i heard his matricula was suspended for some issues . Not 100% sure.
Christian Rubilar, unfortunately, is the lawyer equivalent of a quack. Results matter, and unfortunately he hasn't been getting any. Yet he still has no problem taking money from new clients even though not one of his existing hundreds of clients have received citizenship for 8 months+ now, and this includes people who started filing years ago. Meanwhile other lawyers and people who filed their cases individually are winning every week. At this point it's veering close to straight up swindling people out of their money, telling them to expect a certain timeline for their citizenship case, while knowing that you have hundreds of existing clients that have already paid you and their cases have completely stalled.

Do you know if qny of the "other lawyers" have had any new cases accepted by any of the Federal Courts since May of 2025 and if any of those cases has resulted in Argentine citizenship for the client?

Also, if any of those clients did not have either two years of temporary residency with a DNI granted by migraciones or two years of physical presence without a DNI since first arriving in Argentina?

I'm not even talking about cases from after Mileis DNU in May 2025 (which as I mentioned earlier there is not one person in the entire country who has received citizenship since then, only people who started their case before the DNU).

I'm talking about the hundreds of clients who have paid Rubilar in years past (2025, 2024, 2023, 2022 etc) and their cases are going nowhere. Most of these folks have simple cases (parents of an Argentine born child, thus entitled to a DNI and to apply for naturalization right away under the old rules when they filed, or otherwise lived legally for 2 years, no criminal records etc) and should have received citizenship a year or even 2 years ago at this point. Other people with the same circumstances who filed with other lawyers or filed by themselves have received citizenship in more or less 1 year from the time of filing, meanwhile Rubilar has people who paid him in 2022 or even prior to the pandemic in the 2010s that he has not finished their cases and he's still going around soliciting new clients

My local law license, which isn't required to practice in federal court, was suspended for six months. I only found out when the sanction was published in the Official Gazette; in other words, I wasn't notified so I could defend myself. The reason given was that the Director of the Deportation Office complained because he couldn't deport my clients in a case related to Decree 70/2017.

Where are you getting this information from about "hundreds" of unresolved cases ?
How do you know the exact circumstances of each case ?
From the information you think you know, why are other attorneys or individuals being granted citizenship but Dr. Rubilar's clients, who according to you have similar circumstances, are not being granted citizenship? Are you suggesting discrimination by the judges against Dr. Rubilar? or sudden incompetence on the part of Dr. Rubilar?

I am asking this because I was one of Dr. Rubilar's first successful cases of going from tourist status directly to citizenship back in 2012-2013. He established the precedent that made these types of cases possible.

I'm going to ask you to stop slandering me. I don't have easy cases like the ones you're imagining. Most of my clients are Russians with Ukrainian wives, stateless, have criminal records, or have traveled freely during the immigration process. The fact that the world and Argentina have shifted to the extreme right, where there are judges who apply communist or Jewish restrictions, isn't the lawyer's fault. This doesn't mean it's impossible to win, just that it won't be as quick. Before Milei won, I had won cases involving Argentine children in three months, and last year I won a case involving a husband who had been living in Argentina for two years and 45 days, which allowed him to return to the country after being denied entry at the border for having a digital nomad visa. Was it an easy case? No, they immigrated to save their son's life; he was 16 at the time. Applying within a week of arriving allowed us to win 45 days after he turned two. The truth is, I've never seen so much racism in court in my entire life.

I didn't know he was a lawyer. Regardless until there is an actual case of success - it's a "trust me bro", even if it says the best lawyer in the world. Hope he gets any case won under this new jurisdiction. I'd be more than happy to spectate that case

As part of the citizenship process as you may know, you must publish a notice in the newspapers that XYZ person is soliciting citizenship in Argentina. Rubilar has published hundreds of people in a particular newspaper, anybody can check the newspaper archives and see the clients that were published. Using that information you can easily go to the courts website and check the status of a persons case, you will see that the vast majority of his clients which had initiated the citizenship process and been published in the newspaper years ago have still not received citizenship and their cases are at a standstill.

To be honest I think it's a bit of both, Rubilars abrasive approach with the judges and the secretaries at the court are not winning him any good will, walking in and threatening everyone with being sued and fines, calling the court officials racists, Nazis and purveyors of slavery (these are literally the arguements he makes in his court filings).

In addition simple requests that the courts ask for, Rubilar refuses to comply with. One example being the newspaper publishings as I mentioned, the courts will tell you which newspaper to publish in and the exact message that has to be written. Rubilar instead published his clients in a different newspaper (that was cheaper for him) and made up his own message for the newspaper to write, instead of publishing what the courts asked.

Another (and the current issue for most of his clients) is the proof of income, which is a requirement in the consitution to receive citizenship. Rubilar is having his clients sign declarations that they brought tens of thousands of dollars cash over the border, without declaring it at customs like they should have, and they've been living off their stacks of cash for the past few years. The courts are responsible for weeding out any drug traffickers, human traffickers and other types of criminal elements from receiving citizenship. Understandbly when people are unable to explain how they earn a living and that they just live off cash they brought in illegally without declaring it at the border it makes the courts unsettled, and not only are those cases not progressing, some clients have had their cases reviewed and then the judge declined them without giving them an opportunity to correct it or add additonal evidence.

As the courts mention in all citizenship filings, applying for citizenship is gratis (apart from the newspaper publishing which you pay the newspaper for) and does not require any type of gestor or lawyer, it can be managed by yourself for free. The fact that clients of Rubilar in the past have received citizenship with his "help" doesn't mean that they wouldn't have been able to do it by themselves or with other lawyers and achieved the same or most likely an even faster result.

That racism is towards russians and ukrainians ? Or all immigrants ?
