Argentina requires you to also have an apostille on the official FBI record. You need to request your FBI background check (not a printed out copy from a pdf, but the physical paperwork). Once you have that, you then send it to the U.S. Department of State for that apostille certification, which is necessary for the immigration process here. It would come to you sealed and you'd present it sealed to the immigration office. So, sadly, a pdf printed copy won't work as it's not the original and wouldn't have the apostille. I hope this helps. There are agencies that you can pay to help expedite the process (they mail your prints and take care of sending the FBI sheet over to Dept. of State and back to you). I waited awhile for mine but didn't use a service. Best of luck! Can I just print the PDF and hand that to immigration.

I had to obtain mine years ago but I was able to do it from here. You can go to a police station here and ask them to take fingerprints on the card stock required then use DHL to mail everything to the US/return (I believe I had to include return envelopes). I had a family member help from the US—they received the FBI papers and send them for apostille and then back to me here using DHL.Question, did you do this from Argentina or did you go back to the U.S. to get this done? A 10-hour flight just to get fingerprints sounds exhausting haha.

Make an appointment with the RNR and they can do it. They're the only ones authorized to do it officially, and IIRC, they even have the forms on-hand, printed on card stock. You'll want the appointment for requests from the US and Canada.Question, did you do this from Argentina or did you go back to the U.S. to get this done? I sent mine off to Monument Visa in the US and they handled the FBI channeling and apostille for me.
I did a basic writeup on my process here which may or may not be helpful, depending on what changes have happened in the past two years. You're a rockstar, thank you!
