One-way ticket?

Hey, Guys,
I heard that problems with customs can result with a foreigner (US) coming into BsA with a one-way flight ticket. What if I have a return ticket that's as many as 9 months away? Does anyone have any info on this? I mean, how tenacious are the customs officers there?

Immigrations and customs don't care less but some airlines might try to give you a hassle when you check in for your flight. Check out this thread about the topic:

i just came in with a one-way ticket two weeks ago and had no problems. still haven't booked my return flight, either.
you'll have to pay the friendly $140 fee for american citizens, but that's all...
i've never heard of anyone having problems with this...
