I am a 22 year old recent graduate who just booked her one way ticket to Buenos Aires. I'll be leaving in January so right now I am working on finding a place to live and figuring out my work situation. Any and all advice is much appreciated!

Hi tdrake -- January is height of summer in Buenos Aires and the city is pretty dead -- everyone heads to the coast, even some of the restaurants close for a few weeks. Don't expect to find any employment at that time. Mid-february things start to pick up a bit and by March things are more back to normal. That being said, not sure what type of work you are looking for, how your spanish is etc. As others will tell you, without language skills you'll have an extremely tough time finding anything. Teaching english is a tough go but perhaps you'll make some income. There are other younger new arrivals that have been posting recently (check newcomers forum), they may have some advice specific to your situation. suerte!

Bring enough money for a ticket back.
(And I mean that in the less pessimistic way possible.)
