So I'm planning to take 3 days down late October. Should I buy now here in the USA online? Or there from an agent somewhere?

Comments and thoughts? $375.00 here and now!

Thank you!

Last year at this time we bought our ticket here and paid US$250. But that was last year and flights all over the place have gotten more expensive. Why not google.ar and check the aerolineas website in spanish..may provide some insight.

Thanks, I was just wondering as in france or most of the EU going to an agent to buy a lower cost ticket with cash is always better than the internet for price...

I went down there with areolinas over easter this year and it was 2200 peso for 2 return, and that was with the local discount - you need a DNI or residency visa though..
Check the aerolinas and LAN websites as they were cheaper than the travelagent at the time.... but if you are flying here with aerolinas or lan, maybe you can get and add-on return, which is very cheap.. i went from buenos aires to soa paulo return for US$145 as part of my ticket from NZ.. less than 1/2 the prices of a ticket usually..

I'm in to BA from Portland on Contential... not planning on Ushuaia till Nov 1ish...
i guess 170 each way is not bad to see the sights and hang with the penguins...
can i have someone with a DNI number buy my seat? i hear rumors its not posted on the ticket...
So if i look at aero argentina and use the Argentina site its still 1,400 pesos or 359.00 do i need to be there in AR to get a better deal?

How much is a monthly subway / bus pass?

You can get a subte pass for which you can buy up to $200 pesos worth of rides, but it's just a plastic card with a magnetic strip and has no expiration date.

Most buses still only accept coins (moneda).
