I have overstayed my tourist visa by almost 7months will I have problems returning to the country if I leave for 3 months and come back?

In fifteen years I have never read or heard about any individual being denied entry after one overstay, regardless of how long that they had overstayed or how soon they returned.

For the time being, your reentry will be at the discretion of the individual border agent who may be on the "lookout" for "abuse" of the tourist visa, and a single overstay isn't likely to trigger a negative response ñ.

If that changes before you attempt to return, other members will probably write about it here first. I do hope it isn't a post that you have written at the airport while waiting to be sent back to where you came from after being denied reentry.

Thanks so much for the information, sounds like my best bet when I come back is to do the tourist visa extension and only stay six months at a time or is the nomad visa a better option?

If I understand correctly, the digital nomad visa is good for six months and I believe it can be renewed only once. It does not provide temporary residency with a DNI.

If you are allowef to enter the country when you come back and recieve a new 90 day tourist visa, you may not be able to get a 90 day extension at migraciones unless you have stayed outside of Argentina for at least six months.

Either way, your plan to stay in Argentina in the future for no more than six months a year is, in my opinion, your best option and will create no issues with migraciones.

With the new laws that have come out is it possible to be deported or face problems re-entering the country on another tourist visa

I would have only overstayed once by 6 months and I’ve never done a visa run do you think if I take 6 months out the country and apply for my tourist visa online would help things?

Do you think overstaying a tourist visa would effect getting a student visa

The DNV is the worst possible option.
