I'm passing this info for one of the persons I appreciate the most in BsAs (Anna, te quiero mucho!).
Anna Rank (Uruguayan born, second generation of the Torres-Garcia taller, she lived & studied for 12 years in NYC, studied at the Parsons School of Design & at the NYU among other places, was the pupil of Julio Alpuy, teaches in the Guillermo Roux studio in BA & in her own, etc.) is her name.
Obviously she's 100% fluent in English, which is why I mention this here.
She's brilliant in her field but furthermore she's one of those -unfortunately rare- people with a heart "big like this", deep knowledge, open mind, etc.
Es un ser de luz would be the right description of her in castillan.
She's organizing a painting seminar in Uruguay (everything included : transportation by boat from Tigre, hotel, etc.) focusing on landscape & light in Carmelo (small lovely Uruguayan village boarding the river).
This seminar will take place from nov. 11 until nov. 13.
