Phisically carrying USD

i usually carry it folded 'movie mob' style in my pocket...with an elastic band keeping it together. the hundreds are covered by single dollar or a five dollar bills.
before going to security at airports etc, i remove it and put in carry on for the xray machine. then put it back into my front pocket. i like to have it with me instead of hiding it etc. also i find money belts always get asked to be removed and opened during "pat downs", making a bit more of a scene.

Hey, I need some tips about how to take cash into Argentina. I'm taking less than 10,000 USD but they don't fit in my wallet... how do you guys do it and what do you suggest?

I suggest big cargo pants and put equal amounts in each of the side pockets.

Put it in an envelope and then put the envelope in a backpack hidden compartment. Dress like a shlub. You'll be fine.

Amargo is right in his adives. On top of that I wouldn´t carry more than 200 or 300 USD in your pocket, avoid wallets, be cautious, etc.

I can attest that 10k usd will fit in each bra cup (padded) and 2 cup sizes larger than the wearer...
LOL you're a real Porteña now! :D
Reminds me of the diamonds hidden in the beehive hairdo in the movie "Casino"

There is no need to physically bring in cash like this. The financieras here will give you dollars in exchange for you wiring them funds from your account abroad. No charge for this service.

I would never carry cash through an airport. You are asking to get robbed.

I needed to carry about 50,000 so I purchased 500 euros bills and that was perfect to carry in my pocket

No charge. Really. I was charged between 1 and 2%. Who do you use?

I usually sew money into the lower half of the front pockets of the pants I'm wearing.
