Anyone know where I can get b&w film processed in Buenos Aires?

Ideally, I'd like to get negatives developed and then scanned so I can process them in Lightroom.

Or should I just ditch the idea of shooting in film completely?

You can use Kinefot. They're three blocks from the Obelisco.

I would just go digital. B&W processing is expensive.
And then you have to have them scanned ???
Seems crazy. If you have photoshop you can turn color into B&W easily.
BTW on the same block there's a BA Photo club. They have enlargers & darkrooms for use by members.
Ask Kinefot about it. They give members discount.

In black and white photography, film still has some advantages over digital (or so, at least, many black and white photographers think -- it's a very complicated subject with many, many objective and subjective variables to consider).

However, if you're planning to have the photos developed and then scanning them, you're removing most of those variables from consideration, since you're turning your film photo into a digital image (which in some ways -- but not all -- is actually worse than starting with a digital photo in the first place).

The fact that you're asking the question suggests that you should just go to digital (provided you have a decent digital camera).

If you're planning to use Lightroom, don't forget to shoot in RAW mode.

This is a known school:

You can just call and ask for a laboratorio para revelar blanco y negro.
Even they teach students how to do it, most of them use a laboratory.
(I don t recommend this school, but is the knownest)

Do you guys know of any stores selling b/w film, photographic paper etc.?
