Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can recommend some interesting photo exhibitions (and/ or art galleries) that would be worth visiting?

Cheers!

i have seen some terrific ones at the museo nacional de bellas artes. also the centro cultural borges. depends on what's on.

I have a feeling BAexpats member Napoleon will be the chapicito to have a hablicito with about this.

Hi there,

An exhibition entitled "Traces of Time, Traces of Words" opens at the F.N.A (Fondo Nacional de las Artes)'s Casa de la Cultura on 1 March. It's not just a photo exhibition but will have great photographs by the famous Japanese photographer, Chihiro Minato. The museum/exhibition blog: http://mnaobuenosaires.blogspot.com/

The Ernesto Catena Photo gallery about a block from Plaza Serrano is good for a look see. (look it up)

Sometimes UBA's Central Cutural de Rojos on Corrientes between Ayacucho & Junin has stuff. They are currently having enrollment for the coming semester, so I don't know if there are any photos up right now. (My photography course, and two others, had a little show at the end of last semester. It was a little cool.)

There is a printing place in San Telmo called "Buenos Aires Color":

They have flyers up all the time for events and camera equipment for sale, so they might now of something.
