Picking Up Package W/o Received Notice

Hi all, my friend sent me some essential oils for my husbands cancer treatment. I checked on usps.com and the tracking number states that is sitting in Argentina customs clearance since March 5th. I still did not receive a notice(a piece of paper) that i could go pick it up in retiro. Anybody has any experience going directly to retiro to pick it up and not having this magic paper?

You can check on the CorreoArgentino website in order to find out if they assigned an Argentine tracking number (ending with AR) for your parcel and start from there.

I managed to locate a parcel without any notice at the CPI but others from this forum were replied "you need to wait for the notification". 50/50 bet imho

I have a package that has been here in Argentina since January 23rd.

I went to Retiro 1.5 weeks ago and asked and was told "it's still in Process of Classification. Wait
for your notice."
