Now that I'm "old" (27), I still get them but I don't get nearly the amount I used to. Don't miss it in the slightest. Used to make me feel like an animal at the zoo.

My wife is young and beautiful. Her sisters who live with us are much younger and as beautiful in a more innocent way.

I can remember crossing 9 de Julio with my wife a year or so ago (she was actually on my arm) and a taxista waiting for the light at Santa Fe started honking his horn, flashing his lights and hanging out the window catcalling like a true idiot. Bus drivers, private drivers, bicyclists. Men walking down the street. Down to our latest addition, who is only 13 (!!!!). It's ridiculous, it's invasive and there's no reason for it other than showing how "macho" you are.

Another time I was with my wife and my two (at the time) sisters-in-law and we were walking along Marcelo T de Alvear nearing 9 de Julio from Suipacha. There was a lot of traffic sitting waiting for the light at Pelligrini. One of them was a van with about 6 younger guys inside. They all started catcalling - three beautiful females was just too much for them, I suppose. I looked back as we had just passed them, saw what they were doing (hanging out the windows and shouting) and stopped, turned, and put a huge smile on my face and pointed to my chest, as if saying "are you talking to me?" I started walking towards them and they shut the windows and shut themselves up pretty quickly. My girls were mortified.

When I say something to the idiots who are catcalling, the girls or my wife grab my arm and try to shuffle me off quickly somewhere else because they are embarrassed that I confront them. I try to explain to them that if more people told them to go jerk off in a trashcan somewhere there would probably be less of it. I don't know, just my opinion, could be wrong.

But then again, the calzas that women wear nowadays...it is very, very hard to not look. This from a man who is happily married and doesn't go around looking for something to look at. Although I am quite humanly male, I'm not saying I never look, but I look in a dissimulating fashion and NEVER make a comment, when I do look.

I also very much liked the first movie posted as well. It wasn't funny so much as saying the exact things that go through MY mind when I see these idiots acting like monkeys masturbating in their habitat at the zoo...

Yeah, it's called the numbers game - ask enough women outright and one of them may respond positively. I don't like slaps, personally, but hey. The thing is, though, that at least your friend was in a bar, where people are more likely to be looking for something and only have to decide if they can stand his approach or not. I can't believe a single woman has ever fallen for catcalling from a guy in the street...unless she was a "pro" and expecting to be compensated at some point in time.
