Hola to everyone who is reading this thread.

I am Madhur Anand from India and I love an Argentinian girl. We both are in relationship from more than a year and now we both want to live together in Buenos Aires (her hometown where she live).

On what basis I can apply for Visa (Tourist, Business, Student).

Or what she can do to sponsor me to Buenos Aires and what documents needed.

We both are very much worried about this .... Please anyone can help us

Hi!
If you browse extensively the forum, you'll notice there is a so-called category of Permatourists (they stay here on a tourist visa, eventually going to Uruguay -the other side of the river- every three months).

Now, if you come from India & if you're a good cook, you'd definitely be succesful setting up a business of food delivery here (Indian food sucks big time in BA).

Aside of that, obviously beware of the cultural differences (but that was not your question).

Good luck with your journey, love always win !

French Jurist..obviously you are just craving decent Indian food.. and not channeling Le Pen?

Thanks French Jurist for your suggestion but Sir I am not a cook even i dont know cooking. I am having a small business here of "computer cafe". Can you please tell me some way to settle with my wife in Buenos Aires on the basis of Tourist Visa. but I know its only valid upto 3 months. What will I do after 90 days :(. My plans are to settle down with her in Buenos aires. She is having a Garment store there.

Is there any formalities, so that she sponsor me to Argentina. ?

If you are married, you can become a permanent resident "por vincula". Many on this forum have posted threads about how this is done. If you just want to live here, there are many who become permanent tourists by taking the ferry boat to Uruguay and renewing their visa every 90 days. Some people just overstay their visa.

As FrenchJurist says, you have to be prepared for many cultural differences between the life in India and Argentina. It can be spice to an interesting and fulfilling marriage, but it can also lead to misunderstandings and marital problems. As most expats know, perfection does not exist. You always find things about each culture that you prefer, but you can not change those things you do not like.

I'm not sure you're ready for marriage yet and I assume you are an India national.

I suggest you get in contact with the Argentina embassy in New Delhi and see what they advise you to do. You will most likely need a tourist visa to be able to visit. I'm not sure if the same rules apply to overstaying or going to Uruguay, so you will have to see. You also need to find out what paperwork or possible vaccinations you need before coming.

This is all I could find for the embassy:

India
City: New Delhi
Phone: (+91) 11 4166-1982-86

Office Hours: Winter: 09.00-16.00 Summer: 08.00-15.00

If not you could try contacting the Indian embassy in Buenos Aires for information... perhaps they can point you in the right direction.

You might want to come as a tourist first and spend some time with your girl and see if you want to get married later on.

Good luck!

It's way much easier than that : you won't get deported if you overstay your visa (and if you are scared about overstaying : you can do the round trip to Uruguay every three months).

If you marry some day, like pointed out CityGirl, things will become easier (I married in 6 months here... Met her at 8am in a disco... Didn't end up really good but that's another story :p)

Sir it means If i get married there, than it will become lot easy for me to settle down on the Tourist Visa and more than 3 months .... right

and What is round trip means.... Should I stay in Uruguay for 3 months and come back after 3 months to get my Visa renew for BS AS?
