Just wanted to say the same. Devoto is my favourite barrio and make sure to check out the heladeria Monte Olivia there, best ice cream in the city.

what do people mean when they say 'the real' or 'authentic' anything? they are just saying they know better and are superior. that is all. and i don't even live in palermo so i am not just defending where i live.
now i had the great misfortune to see the disneyland on caminito in la boca. any discussion of a place being not real might start there hehe. wth is up with that area?
i preferred the supposedly dirty and ''dangerous' streets around there to that farce.

We have an apartment in Palermo near Plaza Guemes, feels like real BsAs to us. We love it.
