Power Outage?

ARbound - good news for us in Colegiales/Palermo - the power is now back on! We keep losing it almost daily, but it only stays off for around four hours at a time so it isn't so bad...

A cartoonist Paz published a cartoon in Pag 12 creating a turmoil of blazing opinions...!!

" In his F.Méridas Truchas, Paz blames users for outages by paying an electricity bill like North Bruslavia" and "expect an electrical service as Switzerland." As if the neighbors decide how much electricity costs ...!

That's not true. With their taxes they are paying for the "subsidios". Truth is you also pay taxes and higher fares in Switzerland, but that "Ud. en Kalashnikova pagaría 400% mas" it's an utter lie.

so true

I heard that the government froze the prices for electric bills in 2002. Now they expect the power companies to deliver a first world service and they will fine them because of the blackouts. Power bills here are so low it's hard to believe. Then comes the summer and you pay the price. This goes to prove that there's no free lunch.

Free trains? Cheap power? Cheap everything? Free this, free that??

Who mentioned cheaper subte?

Don't you know? You've to be grateful for all the shit they're supposed do!

New subway trains? Stickers with "Gracias Cristina" on them.

Park being done up? Better believe that fucker has a sign saying either "Ciudad de Buenos Aires" or "Presidente de la Nación" somewhere on it.

Football on the tele? Not without constant reminders on how great everything is thanks to Cristina.

The list goes on and on.... its as if they pay for this out of their own pocket!

Actually in Argentina that's probably closer to the truth than usual. If they weren't spending money on this shit they'd just be putting it in their pockets

Rant over :D
