This is a career entry point to project portfolio management, for individuals with an interest in supporting and learning how to manage a broader portfolio of large, complex projects and programs. Ideal candidates possess a recent Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology, have 1-3 years of experience working in and coordinating IT or Business projects, and an interest in the Financial Services industry. Familiarity with several project delivery methodologies is preferred (waterfall, agile, etc.) as well as comfort with report design, creation, and analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support project set up and maintenance that includes creating and maintaining SharePoint sites for projects, creating and updating projects in the Enterprise Solutions project portfolio and assisting project managers where possible to ensure that they have all the resources available to them to successfully execute their projects.
· Work with the project Front Door team to assist in the smooth transition of a project from the conceptual phase into execution.
· Schedule and manage the project portfolio phase gate compliance & reviews. Work with project managers to schedule phase gate reviews and publish the review calendar. Must be able to work through conflicts to ensure that all project phase gates reviews are held, timely, to the phase gate review milestones established for each project within the portfolio.
· Maintain the project manager resource staffing forecast report. Keep the report current with project and resources changes. Be able to understand changes to staffing and projects and communicate those changes. Conduct analysis on upcoming projects on how it will impact the overall staffing forecast.
· Assist with tracking inter-project and task dependencies and report on impact to schedules at the project and program level.
· Create and update project metrics in the Enterprise solution portfolio. Be able to analyze and explain and report the changes in metrics from month to month.
· Be pro-active in problem solving and reaching out to staff to achieve a resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years related project & program management support/coordination experience, and experience with project scheduling tool(s). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, a command of the English language. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices. Comfort working in a matrix organization, and with cross-cultural international teams. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
