I have 6 buddies (mid-late 20's) coming in from the US for the week of 12/27-1/3. What part of Punta should I be looking at for a house/hotel/condo? This is a fairly rowdy band of indians

You might be a bit late to the party as it concerns the search for Punta accomodations. Things can be booked a year in advance. Regardless, there always seems to be something going on en el puerto. Suerte.

Punta del Este is very small so it really doesn't matter. I like "la punta", but the nightlife happens in "la barra".
