Purchasing a car

I understand the majority of vehicles in Argentina are manual transmission and that automatics are rare. Just how rare are they? I'm not looking to purchase anything fancy, possibly a midsize vehicle, and I'm thinking I should be able to find a dealership in Buenos Aires that has one.
Last week I've seen a black Bentley continental GT in Recoleta area with Argentina plate...so, I don't think you can get a manual Bentley...Can you?

If you want a decent car we are selling my wife’s. It’s a Nissan Tida. We are moving back to Europe hence selling it. It’s stick shift running great. Let me know if interested. Cheers

The Bentley is too big, it won't fit on my yacht.
Your yacht isn't in Marbella then? If it was, the Bentley would surely fit together with the Lambo and the Ferrari?

My yacht fits in my swimming pool 😢 The cars do stick out a bit at the sides and they do make navigation difficult.

My wife called to change the booking for a service scheduled for one of our cars, the agency has sold us 5 cars previously, we have always got the services to those cars done with them. It's easy just call make the booking, drop off the car, pick it up later in the day, you pay for the work done and the experience has always been good.
Upon asking to change the booking she was told that if she was not happy to take the car somewhere else?? Being taken back by this response she explained that we were happy with the service provided, then the employee said that he hopes we have a good experience where we get the car serviced.WTF. If it is mistaken identity, I don't care. LUXCAR Volkswagen can suck it!!!

could be one disgruntled and/or incompetent employee. You could speak to the owner. He might or might not know.

Over the years I have driven a superb Chevrolet Zafira, a prize lemon of a CRV Honda, and now have a Rav4 Toyota.

The humble Zafira never let me down. After ten years I tried to trade it, but the model had been discontinued.

So I traded "up" to the Honda, which kept dying on me about twice a month. Took me a couple of years to find an honest Honda mechanic, who said that particular model has a design problem: the battery is under-dimensioned, and easily drained.

So I sold it and got a Rav4, which is a joy to drive. But now it has a leaky sunroof that lets the rain in. So I took to the dealer, but after five visits it still leaks. Sadly, dealers have no incentive to fix problems - all they do is replace fiendishly expensive parts. Finally they got tired of seeing the car again and again, and told me to take it to my chapista. Who told me to take it to a cerrajero, who told me to take it to a chapista, who told me to take it to the dealer........ and so on, and so forth.

So, with cars, it is largely a matter of luck. These cars were bought new, and both the Honda and the Toyota came straight from Japan, not Mexico.

I love my CRV, and won't give up on it. Finally, I was referred to a neighborhood chapista in VIlla Martelli, a semi-retired guy with an inquisitive mind and a lot of experience. He has a cerrajero neighbor half a block from his shop, and together they will have a shot at fixing it.

If they fix the leak, I'll be able to drive in the rain without a towel on my lap, and another one across the shoulders.

For what it's worth, if you need a dealer recommendation, I've got good things to say about the folks at Gonzalez Automotores in Parque Avalleneda. Ask for Daniel, he's great to work with and made the process of buying my Alfa smooth. They've got a decent used selection, and they sell BAIC new.
